I figured it would take me at least a few weeks, perhaps a month or more to reach 1,000 hits on the blog. Traffic isn't, and probably will never be a focus of mine. The site is primarily a place where I can post my photos, keep in touch with friends and family back on the East Coast, and occasionally let the world [or more accurately, my 20-25 visitors a day] know what I'm thinking. If the traffic to this site grows, cool! If not, I'll still get just as much fun out of it.

That said, it was neat to get a link from the Insta-dude the other day. I had been blogging for less than two weeks, and I did a double take when I checked my Site Meter last weekend.

It's over now. I had previously read what Kevin at Wizbang and the Insta-guy himself had to say, and I knew the spike in traffic would be short lived.

Back to obscurity...
