The Commander-in-Chief visited Elmendorf AFB today. I've known for a while that he was coming, but had to keep a lid on it.
My section was granted a few seats to attend his speech. I passed up the event, in order to let one of my all-star airmen go instead. He came back with an American flag, an ear to ear grin, and one word to describe the event: awesome. As much as I would have liked to go, it was worth seeing the look on his face when he got back. In fact, my top three airmen were able to go. Of course, they earned the selection by kicking butt at work every day.

One of the older NCO's told us a story about briefing then Vice President G.H.W. Bush way back when. Of course, I bragged to him about how my supervisor once briefed President Roosevelt. Teddy Roosevelt. Heh. In all fairness, he's not that old.
