This is my buddy Dave, sharpening some lawn mower blades. He's probably most certainly the biggest Mets fan I've ever known.
Geek Soap Box brings back some memories. And Mets Geek is the place to go for info on the NL East leaders.
Via e-mail my brother commented that José Reyes and Carlos Beltrán are having much better years [so far] than 2005. That, and his regular grumbling about Scott Kazmir.
As with all the NY sports teams, I don't get to see much action out here in Alaska. Especially with a summertime sport like baseball, since I'm less likely to be hanging out watching TV in the event that they're televised. At least with the Giants, when they're on TV it's around 8am on a Sunday, and it's cold and dark at 60° North.
I'd like to see the Mets put a little space between them and the Braves. I hate the Braves. I couldn't hate the Braves more if they signed this guy to a three-year, $13,000,000 contract. Maybe this will be the year we dethrone them?
