Seems to me the Mets have been scoring runs early lately. In fact, a quick glance shows 15 first inning runs over the last five games. In contrast, their opponents scored only 16 total runs during that period. And those games were on the road. That means the Mets were up an average of 3-0 before their starting pitcher even took the mound.
Let's hope for a three-game sweep of the Phillies.

Via Mike's Mets we find that Sports Illustrated has put the Mets at the top of the NL Power Rankings. Personally, I'd rather be the underdog. However, that would mean the Braves were favored, so let's just run away with the dang thing.
